- Esta formación le permitirá desempeños tales como:
- Ejercer la enseñanza de la Lengua Castellana en instituciones educativas de la educación básica y media, en el sector público y privado.

La Licenciatura en Lengua Castellana de la Universidad Católica Luis Amigó procura el estudio, la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de los procesos relacionados con la lengua, la comunicación y la literatura en los niveles de: educación preescolar, básica y media; cuyo objeto de estudio se fundamenta en los campos de formación humanístico, pedagógico y específico y, en torno a ellos, giran los procesos de investigación, producción y aplicación de la Lengua Castellana en aras de cualificar la enseñanza de este programa, para consolidar la formación de los futuros maestros y, a través de su práctica y ejercicio docente, intervengan en el desarrollo integral de la sociedad.

- El graduado de la Licenciatura en Lengua Castellana se caracteriza por la formación socio humanista propia de la misión institucional, además de sus fundamentos disciplinares indispensables para el desempeño profesional, acerca del lenguaje, la literatura y los procesos pedagógicos y didácticos para su enseñanza, como lengua materna y como lengua extranjera.
- Esta formación le permitirá desempeños tales como:
- Ejercer la enseñanza de la Lengua Castellana en instituciones educativas de la educación básica y media, en el sector público y privado.
- Ejercer la enseñanza del castellano como lengua extranjera en instituciones de cortes académicos formales y reconocidos a nivel nacional e internacional, además de los institutos o las alianzas estratégicas con el sector turístico que se puedan generar.
- Desempeñarse como promotor de lectura en entidades dedicadas a ello.
- Desempeñarse como corrector de estilo en revistas, periódicos y áreas afines.
