El programa de Actividad Física y Deporte hace una relación entre la actividad física y la promoción de la salud desde una perspectiva del desarrollo humano y la promoción de la vida, con capacidad desde la academia para la generación, producción y difusión de prácticas sociales que utilizan como medio principal las expresiones motrices, atendiendo las situaciones que afectan la calidad de vida de la comunidad.
